Owner:
Jake O'Conner
Name:
Californication (Cali)
Age:
3
Breed:
American Paint
Gender:
Mare
Height:
14.3hh (Still growing a bit, will most likely top out at 15.2hh)
Picture:
Personality/Temperament:
Cali is still very young, so still has a lot of foal-like habits. Since she was raised by Jake, she has a very strong connection with him and sees him more like a herd mate than a master. She loves to play game, such as 'Take Jake's Hat' or 'Knock Jake Over Then Run Away'. But, she's making great improvement in her manners.
She's even-tempered and willing to please. She gets along with just about everyone, but will always go best for Jake. Inquisitive and stubborn, if she's curious and you don't want her to go look ,that's where she'll go. But, if she's curious and you do want her to go look, wild horses couldn't drag her over. Pardon the expression.
History:
Born at the Alberta ranch that Jake's father owned, Cali was always Jake's horse. They formed a bond in the very first few days of her life that will never be broken. For the most part of her yearling life, he let her play and be a foal, like it was meant to be. With all the chores on the ranch and trying to find time to keep her dam, Dream in good shape, Jake didn't have much time to spend with Cali.
After the virus swept through the ranch, and her mother died, Jake devoted himself completely to Cali and her training. It helped him forget all the bad things happening around him. When it came time to sell stock and move, Jake had firmly refused to let go of the filly.
Discipline:
Not yet ridable.
Experience:
Extremely green.
