Name: Preston Jones
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance:
Personality: To be frank, Preston has no self-confidence. Because he does not, he has a lot of defense mechanisms. The big one being that he tends to make fun of people to the point of humiliation if they pick on him. He does not trust people that easily so he makes fun of them, usually their appreance, so that they would not like to be friends with him so that he can avoid getting hurt. Preston uses sarcasm. Most of the things he says are sarcastic so that the person he is talking to does not know if he is making fun of them or not.
Once you are in Preston's inner circle, everything changes. Because it takes a lot to get Preston to trust someone, not many people are in his trustworthy zone. If you are though, he is no longer sarcastic or mean. He is kind. He cares deeply for the people he loves and would literally do anything for them. Preston is known to push a drunk friend home in a shopping cart at three o'clock in the morning.
History:When Preston was a baby, and his brother brother was five, his parents, Joseph and Debbie, got into drugs. They eventually got hooked up on them, and started selling a lot of items from their house, to get the drugs. It was not a place for children. His mom would get violent sometimes and his dad was in and out of jail. His parents knew that they should stop taking drugs, but if they did, they'd have withdrawels and shake the whole building. One christmas, his brother told my dad santa is coming, and Preston's father almost cried, because he knew that his sons would get no presents. Christmas day. his brother, Scott, wakes up, runs into his dads room goes "wake up, wake up! its christmas!". Scott goes to the tree that his father stole and he see's nothing. His dad starts saying sorry, and his brother goes into his room. For what it seems like forever to Preston, his older brother is in his room, wrapping things up in paper bags, all his favorite things, and gives a present to Preston. That was the turning moment in their father's life. He stopped doing drugs.
However, they were not as fortunage with their mother. One day, Joseph, his dad, went to the store, and he came back, found his brother screaming out of his lungs, right in the middle of the street. Preston's dad discovered his wife, in my Scott's room absolutely destroying everything, and Scott went out in the middle of the street to run away. Eventually, Joseph took Scott, Preston was too attached to his mother to leave, and they moved out.
Preston's mom moved the two to Washington, because family was there, including Preston's father. She stopped doing the drugs, maybe she did it off and on after that, but her and his dad got to be friends again. Than his dad went online, and found a girl. They met, started dating, and his dad moved to Kentucky with her. That was basically the end of Preston's relationship with his father. Joseph never called his youngest son and he never visited him. However, things were looking up for the two of them. His mom met a man. She started dating him and things were beginning to move really quickly. He was the heir to a big supermarket chain. He had more money than Preston's mother had ever had. He bought a house for the three of them in Washington. Unfortunetly, Preston was not able to stay there. Not because he was fighting with his step-father, but because he was too far behind in school. He never had someone to make sure that he attended school.
Sample Post:The train had barely left the station and Preston was already sleeping. As soon as the train had slowly came to a stop at the station, he hurred onto the train. He wanted to make sure that he got a good compartment. A good compartment was one that was empty. Preston nearly was crushed beneath the weight of his trunk. He did not have much upper body strengh so when he went to put it in the overhead luggage storage, gravity nearly pushed back on him. The only thing that he did not put in the storage was his calico cat, Pumpkin.
Preston laid on his back across an entire row of seats that could fit three people. His arms were under his head as a makeshift pillow. He had not changed into his school uniform yet. Preston was in no hurry. He usually changed five minutes before arriving at the Hogsmeade station. The robes did not mind Preston, but the tie choked him. His uniform sat on the row of seats opposite the seats that Preston had stretched himself out on. Pumpkin's traveling crate was next to his luggage. However, Pumpkin was laying on Preston's stomach. She moved up and down with every breath that he took. Although it looked like she was sleeping by the way she was curled up, Pumpkin was not sleeping. She was keeping guard of her owner, daring anyone to wake him.
