((haha, couldn't think of another name for it.))
Smiling, Kathy's heels nudged Drew's sides and he obidiantly started into a walk. Kathy held the reins in one hand, stretching out her arm to give Drew the rein, letting him stretch his neck out as far as he wanted. Kathy turned her waist so she could talk to Brian.
"You do hunter and jumper classes?! Me too!" She said, smiling. It was always nice to find something in common with people. Especially if it is your favorite thing in the world. Once they were on the trail that led to the cross country course, Kathy took up her riens in both hands. Drew's neck bent in and collected like a gentlemen. Kathy squeezed his sides again and he moved into a trot. Posting like a true english rider, Kathy smiled as they trotted down the trail, not be able to wait until they got to the jumps. She looked back to Brian, just to make sure he was still back there. Some people thought it was kind of akward when people didn't talk if they went riding together, but Kathy didn't mind it at all.
After about half a mile of trotting, they came to the start of the cross-country course. There was a starting box with rules posted on it. Sure, it said that you needed a body protector every time you rode this course, but Kathy never listened to it. She halted Drew, patting his neck. She overlooked the cross-country course, feeling the iching in her legs to get out there and move. She looked back at Brian and waited for him to catch up a little.
